The Director General (DG) Campaign in Charge of Kogi Local Government Area for the December 12th 2020 Chairmanship election in the Area, Honourable (Engr.) Bashir Abubakar Gegu, has assured that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will take the day in the coming LG polls.
Abubakar Gegu who is also the Commissioner of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources in Kogi State, gave the assurance in an interview with Newsmen at the State Capital.
He said in view of the large turn out of the people in various campaigns carried out by the Party in the Area, victory was sure for the APC, noting that it will be a landslide victory for the Party.
“So far, the electioneering campaign signals we’ve been receiving in various wards of the Local Government is purely an indication of victory for our great Party APC.
The Crowd in all campaigns is just enough to tell all that our victory is guaranteed. All we are asking for is that our people should turn out in same number if not more to cast their votes willingly for our dear party. APC is always a winning party and Kogi LGA is for APC. It’s going to be a One Way Traffic for us”
He described the Chairmanship candidate of the Party in the Area, Isah Abdulkareem popularly called ECOMOG, as a resourceful, hardworking, intelligent and productive person with good leadership character, pointing out that his election will bring better things to the Area”
The DG Campaign said the Area has always been known for peace and enjoined the people to remain peaceful before, during and after the election.
“Election is not war. Pick your voters card, move to your polling units, cast your vote, return home and wait for the results to be announced by the electoral officials. That’s all. Let’s maintain the peace the Area has always been known for come 12th December 2020. I am sure APC will emerge victorious insha Allah”
Honourable Abubakar Gegu appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for creating an enabling environment for all, noting that the Area will reciprocate the gesture by ensuring total victory for the party to enable the people of the Area enjoy more dividends of democracy.
