Several of encomiums have continued to flow in for the state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as his administration’s clocks uninterrupted seven years of pragmatic and milestone of human and infrastructural development.

Kogi state chapter chairman of the Nigeria Union Pension (NUP), in a message of felicitation to the governor , his new direction team and the people of the state which was signed by the state chairman Engr. Clement Ohida and made available to the media in Lokoja said the last seven years has been eventful, impactful and restorative despite challenges.

While congratulating the first citizen of the state on the auspicious occasion of his uninterrupted and watershed administration in the last seven years Engr. Ohida posited that Governor Yahaya Bello’s perculiar approach and perpetual pursuit to fast track peace, unity and development of the multi ethnic and multi religious groups of the state has earned him an appellation of a pragmatic leader which has made it to outmatched all forms of insecurity threats in the state.

He outlined other giant-strides which included the construction of several multi billion road projects spanning the three Senatorial districts of the state, building of a world class reference hospitals spread across the state, building of superlative and qualitative primaries, secondary and a University

The state union leader equally reeled out other unarguable and undeniable areas of the governor’s gargantuan hallmarks during the period under focused to include the repairing of several erosion sites, Procurement and distribution of agriculture implements, provision of affordable health care facilites to hospitals and the construction of the first ever flyover and the PMB public Square in Lokoja

In the angle of human resource management and development, Engr.ClementOhida maintained that Governor has been able to uplift the moral of workers and the senior citizens of the state by regularly paying their monthly salary, pension and other emoluments attesting to the commencement of the implementation of promotion of salary to workers as well deserved.

The state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pension hinted that all these aforementioned inroads of the Governor within the period under focused are geared towards unlocking citizen’s potential for greatness by securing the enabling environment for legitimate enterprises to thrive and placed its on the pedestal of balance and sustainable socio-economic advancement.

Engr.Clement Ohida appealed to the state governor to extend his administration’s similar kind gesture to pay full pension to all categories of pensioners as part of his legacy before the expiration of his tenure

He acknowledged the significant roles of the state deputy governor, Chief Edward Onoja, governor’s Chief of Staff, Pharm. Asuku Jamiu, commissioner of local government and chieftaincy affairs, Barr. Salami Dadat Ogizi, Auditor General of kogi State, Alhaji Yakubu Y Okala , Auditor General of local government,Alh.Ododo and the Director General of the state pension commission for their undiluted support for the governor.
