Kogi State President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Tade Adeyemi has called for a review of the scheme of service of the local government employees to enhance quality service delivery.

Comrade Adeyemi made the call shortly after the swearing in of the newly elected national president of the union Comrade Kolade Alabi and the National Executives members of the Union held in Abuja.

Comrade Tade said the current scheme of service of Local Government workers can no longer cater for modern peculiarities and called for a review to reflect the current happenings in the country.

He also appealed for the restoration of the Confederation of state president of the union to compliment the leadership of the union at the national level.

Comrade Tade emphasised the need to sustained the track records of the immediate past president of the union, Late Ibrahim Khaleel whom he described as a true unionist and activist with rare passion to fight for the interest of workers.

While appealing for the implementation of promotions of Employees both at the National and State level, comrade Tade emphasised that a lot would be achieved when full autonomy is granted at the local level.
