Kuje council chair appoints supervisory councilors, SSA’s, house clerk

The chairman of the Kuje area council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Alhaji Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, appointed six supervisory councilors and senior special assistants as well as a clerk of the legislative arm of the council into his cabinet.

Sabo, who announced the appointment in a statement signed by his principal private secretary, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo (Snr) which was made available to journalists on Wednesday, gave the names of the supervisory councilors and their portfolios as Mr. Bona Yunusa, as supervisory councilor for Health, David Shekwo, Environment and Emmanuel Maker, Special Duties.

Other appointed supervisory councilors included Zainab Bako Usman, Education, Amos Samari, Works, and Ezekiel Gimba as supervisory councilors for Agriculture.

The newly appointed Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and their portfolios are, Abubakar Jibrin, SSA works, Afiniki Adamu, SSA Environment/Sanitation, Isah Zakar, SSA Special Duties, Tanko Baba Zagabutu, Political matters, while Kimi Baba and Oladipo Jide, were appointed as SSA’s Health and Human Services and Education/social development respectively.

Also appointed into the cabinet is, Musa Kasimu- Personal Assistant (PA) Jibrin Babandatsu- Protocol Officer, Sule Idris- Protocol Officer ( II ) Ibrahim Haruna Agwai- Clerk of the legislative arm
Reazani Simon Shegari- deputy clerk.

The chairman, who said the appointment was based on merit which he said cut across the ten political wards of the council, said a date will be announced for their formal inauguration after arrangements have been concluded.
