The chairman Kuje Area Council in the FCT, Alhaji Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, has presented a budget estimate for the 2022 fiscal year with a total expenditure of nine billion, eight hundred and thirty million, nine thousand, three hundred and eighty-nine naira only to the legislative arm of the council.

Sabo, while presenting the budget to the legislative arm said, transforming the Kuje area council is the cardinal goal objective of his administration, saying he would not leave any stone unturned in achieving the set goal.
“And by the next year 2022, by the grace of God, we intend to carry out over 47 new capital projects. And while so far in 2021, we have completed over 30 projects while others are about 90% completed.
He said his administration’s achievements were collective efforts, which he said would not have been possible without the support, cooperation, and understanding of the members of the legislative arm and by extension the good people of the Kuje area council.
He expressed appreciation to the entire residents of the council for identifying with his administration’s efforts towards bringing development across the council.
The chairman, however, stated that his desire and willingness to provide viable infrastructures was to ensure residents of the council feel the impact of his administration, saying there was no doubt that the budget presentation was the life span of the first tenure of his administration.
“If it pleases God and with the support of the good people of Kuje area council, we are very optimistic that Insha Allah, we are coming back to continue to serve Kuje area council more than what we have done so far,” he said.
The chairman, however, disclosed that out of the above budget estimate presented, Two Billion, Seven Hundred and Forty-Two Million, Six Hundred and ninety thousand, two hundred and eleven naira only is the total recurrent expenditure covering personal and Overhead cost.
According to him, seven billion, eighty-seven million, three hundred and nineteen thousand, one hundred and seventy-eight naira only is the capital expenditure.
Speaker of the legislative arm of the council, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim, commended the council chairman for displaying good governance and exemplary leadership, which he said has transformed the council within the last two years.

He assured the council chairman that the house would do justice to the budget by ensuring that all the normal procedures and pass into law within the shortest period.
