On asumption of office as the wife of the then Administrator of Okehi LG, Hajia Zainab Ohiare in her little way changed the lives of many women by empowering them economically and placing them at helms of affairs in politics. She has succeeded in bridging the gap between Women and the Government.
Many called her Onyi Okehi (The mother of Okehi LG) this title was derived from her kind gestures and it was accepted by all sundry.
Six new Cars, Twenty Two motorcycles, Cash donation to widows, monthly stipends for the elderly and placing of our women in the rightly positions, this was part of the source were the word ONYI OKEHI is derived.
