Maikaya has good intentions for Toto LG, Nasarawa State – Kogi State Civil Service Commission Boss

The Executive Chairman Kogi State Civil Service Commission, Hon. (Barrister) Muhammed Tanko Musa has commended the Maikaya Development Foundation for organising a football tournament and contributing to the socioeconomic status of the State through numerous programs and policies.

Barr. Muhammed Tanko stated this at the grand finale of the 3rd edition of the Maikaya Development Foundation Football tournament held in Toto, the local government headquarters on Sunday.

Tanko who is also a former Chief Administrator of the Kogi local government area of the State described Maikaya as a great man who have passion for development and who has gone far in adding value to the society not minding their religion, tribe or where they come from.

“I have come to Toto to witness the final of the Maikaya Development Foundation football tournament, Maikaya has good intentions for the Toto people and Nasarawa State, he has provided empowerment and palliative to the people of the area.”

“Muhammed Maikaya Foundation has done very well for Toto and State in general, he has been good to the community, Toto and Nasarawa State.”

“Some few days back we just watched an international tournament where some footballers showcase their talents, today I am impressed with the performance of the footballers I saw here in Toto, the spirit in them will uplift them to an international level, Toto youths are doing exceptionally well. We all saw their performances where the youths showcased their talents.”

Barr. Muhammed Tanko who is the Dan-masani of Igu Kingdom, Makama Dogo of Osuku, Gwarzo of Gegu and Dan-Galadima of Girinya advised the youths and women to be supportive of the All Progressives Congress, APC, given to its performances since inception of the administration.

The Kogi civil service boss also presented some gifts items to some security chiefs on behalf of the foundation in an effort to appreciate them for protecting lives and properties of Toto people.

Global Times Nigeria correspondent reports that Kofa FC Toto defeated Emani FC of Shafa Abakpa 2:0 in the final competition.

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule was represented at the occasion by State Commissioner for Health, Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, and Commissioners for Information, Culture and that of Sports and youths development graced the occasion.

Other dignitaries in attendance were Executive Chairman Toto local government council, Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, member representing Toto/Gadabuke state constituency, Hon. Labaran Usman Shafa, an Abuja-based legal luminary, Barr. Yakubu Galadima, Barr. Umar Abdullahi, Vice Vice Chairman of the council, Hon. Abubakar Haruna Kwankis, PDP State assembly candidate for Toto/Gadabuke constituency, Hon Abubakar Adamu Daura.

Also at the event, Egbira dancers, entertainers, women, youth groups, and supporters of various political parties in the area.
