Nasarawa Assembly confirms Gov. Sule’s commissioner nominee, Akum
Nasarawa State House of Assembly has confirmed Hon Abubakar Odah Akum as Commissioner and Member of the State Executive Council.
Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House announced this after Hon Akum appeared for screening during the House proceedings today in Lafia.

The Speaker has congratulated the nominee and wished him a successful tenure, if finally sworn in by Gov. Sule.
The Speaker also urged the nominee to discharge his duties without fear or favour.
” We hereby confirm the nomination of Hon Abubakar Odah Akum as Commissioner and Member of the State Executive Council,” he said.
The Speaker further urged the Commissioner nominee to
live above board as well as contribute positively to the development of the State.
The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to communicate the House resolution to Gov. Sule for his further action.
Earlier the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Mohammed Omadefu (APC- Keana) moved a motion for the confirmation of the commissioner nominee and was seconded by the House Minority Leader, Hon. Luka Zhekaba ( PDP- Obi 11).

The House unanimously screened and confirmed the commissioner nominee after the two lawmakers from Nasarawa LG Hon. Onarigu Onah Kana (SDP Udege /Loko) and Hon. Hajara Danyaro Ibrahim (APC Nasarawa Central) gave good testimonies and capability of the nominee to deliver.
