Nasarawa Assembly Proceeds On Recess, Passes 2 Health Bills Into Law.

The Nasarawa State  House of Assembly, has passed into law a bill for a Law to Repeal and Re-Establish the Nasarawa State Hospitals Management Board Law 2020 and a bill for a Law to Repeal and Re-Enact the Nasarawa State Primary Health Care Development  Agency.

The two executive bills were sent to the House by Gov. Abdullahi Sule for passage in order to boost the health status of the people of the state.

Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House announced the passage of the two bills during the House proceedings in Lafia today.

The speaker said that the two executive bills if finally assented to would improve on the general health need of the people of the state.

“I want to express my appreciation to you, particularly the committee that handled these bills for a job well carried out.

“A bill for a Law to Repeal and Re-Establish the Nasarawa State Hospitals Management Board Law 2020 read for the third term and passed.

“A  bill for a Law to Repeal and Re-Enact the Nasarawa State Primary Health Care Development  Agency read for the third term and passed,”  he said.

The speaker directed the clerk to the House to produce clean copies of the bills for the governor’s assent.

Earlier,  Hon Tanko Tunga, the Majority Leader of the House moved a motion for the passage of the bills into law.

Hon Danladi Jatau, the  Minority Leader of the House seconded the motion.

The House unanimously passed the bills into law.

Meantime, the speaker announced the House recess commencing from today Tuesday being Dec.22, 2020 to February 8th, 2021 after  Hon Tanko moved a motion to that effect.
