As part of concerted efforts put in place by critical stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure sustain peaceful coexistence among the cohabitants of Toto local government area of the State.

One of such leaders is the State FCT APC Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman who recently tour Toto local government alongside other notable stakeholders to galvanized support and push for zonal arrangement of the council.
He expressed worried over continued marginalization of some ethnic groups in the area and assured the people of Toto local government of a level playing ground in the forthcoming council poll.
Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman who earlier paid Sallah Homage to His Royal Highness, Ohimegye Opanda-Umaisha Development Area, Alhaji Abdullahi Usman, Chairman Traditional Council of Chiefs Toto LGC to thanked him for maintaining peace in his domain.
He said such visit become necessary in view of the support the kingdom was giving to ruling APC and present administration in the State.

Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman said stakeholders decided to zone the chairmanship position to other districts of the council in order to provide a level playing ground and sense of belongings to other ethnic groups in the area.
According to him, Egbiras being the largest ethnic group in the area with two largest kingdom have been enjoying the chairmanship position and other benefits since the ruling APC took over the mantle of leadership and hence to allow other ethnic group have the taste of the cake.
“We are the government and the authentic people of Toto LG and we cannot be ethnic jingoists in our dealings”.

“We are respecter of the law. We abide by the rule of the game and we stand by the government of the day. “
He recalled how the present Governor Abdullahi A. Sule emerged through zoning despite coming from Nasarawa North, a zone whom many described as smallest in the State.
He said the issue of zoning started from the top and it is expected to be implemented all over the State as to give room for fair-play, justice, equity and ease of administration in the area.
Abdulmalik Usman who is serving as the Chairman, Care-Taker Committee of APC in the FCT, Abuja was accompanied by Pharmacist Ahmed Baba, Nasarawa State Commissioner for Health alongside other stakeholders in the area.
He commended the stakeholders under the leadership of the Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi for working collectively for the people of Toto Local government.
Responding, Ohimegye Opanda-Umaisha Development Area and Chairman, Toto LGC Traditional Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Abdullahi Usman commended the stakeholders for their insight towards providing a platform that will enhance peace and stability in Toto LG.
He said the present administration has been supportive to the people of Toto local government such as infrastructures, provision of security, education and human capital development among others.
Recall the APC stakeholders have zone the chairmanship to Gadabuke district of the council for ease of administration, a development many described as best political arithmetic in history of the area.
While in Shafa Abakpa his country home where he visited the Ohi-emani Odumi of Shafa Abakpa, Alhaji Hussaini Usman Kyafi, youth and women where he explained why the APC zone its Chairmanship to Gadabuke District.
While i the team paid tribute to late political leader, Rt. Hon. Musa Baba Onwana who died after winning his second record office in 2015 where he met with his father and discussed extensively.
