“…as Hon Osewu holds emergency meeting with aspirants ahead of election…”
All the 18 aspirants that contested for the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in the just concluded primary election in Doma LGA of Nasarawa State have agreed to work for the victory of APC and its candidate, Arch Ahmed Sarki Usman.
This was the outcome of an emergency meeting of all the 18 aspirants held at the instance of the member representing Doma South Constitency at the State Assembly Hon John Osewu in his office today.
Hon Adamu Umaru Omaku, Chairman, Aspirants Forum of Doma Local Government Area of the state said that the aspirants have agreed to work together for the victory of the party come Oct.6 local government election in the state.
” This meeting is at the instance of Hon John Osewu on the need for all aspirants to come together to see to the success of APC during the Oct 6 local government election in the state.
” Everybody has aired his or her grievances as well as views and by God’s grace, all of the 18 aspirants have agreed and ready to work together for the victory of APC and Arch. Ahmed Sarki Usman, the APC Chairmanship candidate of Doma LG come Oct. 6.
On her part, Mrs Victoria Apawa Bako, the only female Chairmanship aspirant in the state and from the area said that she has agreed to mobilise support and work for the victory of APC and Arch. Ahmed Sarki Usman, the APC Chairmanship candidate during the poll.
” I will continue to be loyal to our great party, APC. We have agreed to work as a team.
” Our prayers and intensions is for APC to win the chairmanship and councillorship seats in all the 10 electoral wards of Doma Local Government, ”
“I have accepted what happened as the plan of God, so we move on” she said.
On his part, Arch. Ahmed Sarki Usman, the APC Candidate of Doma Local Government Area has appreciated his co- aspirants for supporting his emergence as the party flag bearer in the area.
” Today, I am the happiest person not because I am the flag bearer but for my sister and other aspirants to accept to work for APC and my candidature.
” There is no loser but we are all winners and we will continue to work together for the success of the party, Doma LG and the state at large,” he said.
Responding, Hon John Osewu, member representing Doma South Constituency, has appreciated the aspirants for their decision to work together for the victory of the party come Oct.6
” I want to express my appreciation to all the aspirants for listening to my call and accepted to work together for the victory of the party.
” I want to thank you for also upheld the candidature of Arch. Ahmed Sarki Usman as our party flag bearer.
” We will work together for his victory and for the victory of all of our APC councillorship candidates,” he said.
Osewu has called on the people of the area and the state at large to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed beyond 2023.
He urged the people of the area to continue to remain peaceful and shun violence during the local government election.
