Nasarawa Speaker Says Death Of His Elder Brother was Painful, Shocking And Unfortunate Considering His Role When Alive

Chairman, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alh. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has described the demise of his elder brother, Mallam Salihu Abdullahi as one too many considering the position and role the  elder brother occupied in the family when alive.

Balarabe Abdullahi stated this during the burial of his elder brother in Karshi, Abuja Municipal Area Council ( AMAC) on Wednesday.

The speaker said that the death of his brother was painful and shocking while urging people to pray for the family to overcome the pains and vacuum created by the demise and for God to grant the deceased paradise.

According to him, My elder brother’s death is one too many. He is my confidence, an elder brother, who is now our father because he took over the position of our  late father.

” He is our adviser and we will greatly miss his fatherly role in the family.

” My elder brother’s death was shocking and painful. We cannot ask God why as he gives life and take at will.we glorify God for brother Angulu’s life that was well spent.

” I want to thank all of you who came from far and near to sympathize with me and the entire family over this great lost,”  he said.

The speaker also prayed God to forgive his late brother wrongdoings,reward his good deeds while on earth and grant him peace in the world beyond.

Earlier,Mallam Abubakar Ahmed while presiding over the funeral urged Muslims and other Nigerians to live a life worth of emulation when alive.

He said that there is judgement after death, hence the need for Muslims to always adhere strictly to the teaching of prophet Mohammed.

He also urged the speaker and the entire members of the family to see the death as an act of God and an inevitable to all mortals.

It would be reported that  Hon AbdulMalik Usman, FCT APC Caretaker Chairman,Rt.Hon Nehemiah Dandaura the state deputy Speaker, Hon Mohammed Alkali, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, Hon Abel Bala, Hon Bello Isa, Hon Yusuf Omaki, former commissioner in the State and chairman Toto LG Prince Nuhu Dauda among other dignitaries were among the first callers.
