Nasarawa Youth Group Supports Anti Corruption Fight.

The Nasarawa Youth Initiative for Peace and Good Leadership, has declared its support for the ongoing fight against corruption by the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The group made this known when it paid a courtesy call on the Kaduna Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Yakubu Mailafia Agabi, on Wednesday.

Led by its President /Chairman, Barrister Faruk Mohammed Ofoku, the group said their mission was to discuss areas of partnership and collaboration, as part of the efforts to support the fight against corruption as well as to also emancipate the youths of Nasarawa State.

While describing Agabi as a worthy son of Nasarawa state, Ofoku said the youths are proud of his achievements and are ready to identify with him and support the EFCC in the fight against corruption.

The chairman of the group used the opportunity of the visit to acquaint the EFCC Zonal Head, on the activities of the group, being a platform meant to bring about peace, unity and development in Nasarawa State.

According to the chairman,NYIPGL is also promoting humanitarian services, youths and women empowerment, human capacity development and youths inclusiveness in governance, with membership base of the organisation cutting across the 13 Local Government Areas of the State.

“We are moving and creating awareness that will ensure the realization of the aims and objectives of this noble initiative,” Ofoku told their host.

As part of the recognition of Agabi’s sterling leadership qualities, the group appointed him as its patron.
