Nigerianpost Newspaper to honours Bashir Gegu, Other prominent Kogi Leaders, Nigerians

A publisher of the widely read NigerianPost Newspaper, Mr. Abu Michael has reiterated its readiness to honour some Kogites and Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in various endeavours ranging from governance and private sectors.

This, he said that NigerianPost Newspaper Holds Agenda Setting Roundtable Dialogue on 14th December, 2023.

In a statement issued by Abu Michael, the Editor in Chief and Publisher of the Newspaper, named those expected to be honoured including, Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu.

According to the statement, Gegu and others were selected for their various contributions to the progress and development of the State such in areas of humanitarian service, leadership and among others.

The Nigerian Post Newspaper, widely read in Nigeria, has the theme for the Agenda Setting Roundtable Dialogue: “Looking at A New Kogi State”, is scheduled to hold at the NUJ Press Centre, by 10:00 am prompt.

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, Kogi State would serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the Roundtable.

While Kogi State Commissioner For Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Asiru Idris would serve as the Chairman of the Occasion

Comr. Hamza Aliyu, Executive Director, Initiative For Grassroots Advancement in Nigeria, is expected to deliver a Keynote address on Agenda Setting, People’s Expectations For the incoming administration to be headed by Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Governor Elect.

Global Times Nigeria report that the upcoming event is another window opportunity for Kogi State Board of Internal Revenue Service to not only avail it’s self but to also inform the general public on activities of the Agency and looking at the future as it relates to Revenue Generation.

The Kogi State Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, other business organization would be in attendance to speak on a workable Agenda Setting for the Business Sector.

The Chief Host of the occasion would be Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh, NUJ Chairman. The agenda setting roundtable dialogue would also be used to honour some organization and personalities.

Those to be honoured include: Asiwaju Asiru Idris, Kogi State Board of Internal Revenue Service, and Olu Apata, Oba Dr. Fredrck Durojaiye Balogun.

Others are Hajia Habibat Oyiza Tijjani, FCNA, Permanent Secretary, Kogi State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
