NKFI Suspends, dismiss staff over theft, forgery, absconding as 2nd Semester Exams for 2022/2023 session begins

In line with its well coordinated academic calendar, students of the Nigeria -Korea Friendship Institute are set to commence their second semester examination for its current session.

The Rector, Mr. Williams Charles Oluwatoyin who intimated the Press of this development on Tuesday also hinted on some of the recent disciplinary actions taken by the institute in a bid to instill discipline and proper behaviour in both staff and students of the institute.

He mentioned that the school’s Governing council approved the Expel of one Gideon Abraham of Electrical / Electronic department Matric Number NKFI/NID/22/EET/040. who forged the signatures of the Institute’s Registrar , his Head of Department and Academic Affairs Officer on his course form but was caught by the eagle eyes of the HOD.

The Rector affirmed that the institute has zero tolerance for such act and would not in any way condone any form of criminality alluding that the punishment meted on the expelled student would serve as a deterrent to other students.

Mr. Williams Charles also revealed that the institute also approved the dismissal of one Mr Aliyu Adoga a lecturer with the Department of Welding and Fabrication for absconding from his duties without permission or official notice for over 6months. While Mr Johnson Emmanuel a staff of the security unit was also suspended till further notice for act of negligence on duty resulting to theft, the Rector confirmed.

He expressed frankly that the institute had a target of excellence thus wants it’s Staff and students to live up to such standard while he warned others to sit up and perform their roles and duties diligently. He also advised staff to desist from coming late to work as drastic actions will be takan against any staff found wanting.
