NSG condoles Ohimegye Opanda over lost wife, Maimuna
Nasarawa State Government has condoled with the First Class Traditional Ruler of Egbira People in the State the Ohimegye Opanda, Umaisha HRH Alhaji Usman Abdullahi over the demise of his wife Hajiya Maimuna Usman Abdullahi.
The State Deputy Governor Dr Emmanuel Akabe delivered State Government message on behalf of Governor Abdullahi Sule during the Three Day Prayer of late Haj, Maimuna Usman Abdullahi held at Umaisha Central Mosque today Saturday.
Dr Akabe who eulogized the good virtues of late Haj. Maimuna Abdullahi who served as Permanent Secretary under him when he was the State Commissioner for Health between 2011 to 2015 said she was a role model.
“since I started work as a Commissioner and till now as Deputy Governor, I have never had a permanent secretary like Haj. Maimuna, I remembered when I was a commissioner of health she was transfered from my office but I insisted and pleaded with the Governor that should remain with me because I enjoy working with her”
The State Deputy Governor condoled with the people of Opanda Kingdom urging them to see her demise as the will of God and continue to pray for the repose of her soul.
The Chief Imam of Umaisha who is the Khadi Shariah Court of Appeal Lafia Hon. Justice Muhammed Yahaya Usman and other clerics prayed God to give her eternal rest, console the husband and the entire family just as the stressed the need for people to amend their ways with God as death is inevitable and can come at anytime.
Various Speakers at the three day prayer gave good testimony of the deceased describing her as a role model just as her husband the Ohimege Opanda Umaisha HRH Alh Usman Abdullahi appreciated the Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule who attended the Funeral Prayer and the Deputy Governor who attended the three day prayer as well as all those who stand with the family at its trial moments praying God to reward them accordingly.
Traditional rulers from the FCT led by their President and Onah of Abaji HRH Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa and that of kotonkarfe, Kogi State, Ohimegye Igu Koton-karfe, HRM Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isah Kwotto among other prominent traditional rulers in the State, Government functionaries and Distinguished sons and daughters of the area within and outside the State.
