A former Administrator of Kogi Local Government Area, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa, Lokoja LG Treasurer, Adoga, DLGs from Lokoja, Dekina, women, elders and staff from the State head of service, among others honored the Kogi LG Treasurer, Alhaji Chief Yusuf Ohikwura Abdullahi on his 40th birthday anniversary.
Also in attendance were over 100 youths from the three zones of the LG That’s Zone A, B and C threw a surprise birthday reception for Ohikwura whose birthday coincided with the youthful Governor of Kogi State supreme victory.
The youths sang birthday songs for Ohikwura as he joined them at the council Secretariat in Koton-Karfe where they joined him in cutting the cake and took photographs with him.
Speaking at the occasion, Alhaji Yusuf Ohikwura Abdullahi thanked them for their solidarity and prayed for God’s continued blessings in their lives and families.
“I want to thank every one of you for this wonderful surprise birthday party”.
“All of you and your children will prosper in this State and experience promotion”.
“Everything that you ask from God he will do for you, so my next birthday will be bigger and better than this and I will attend your own birthdays too.”
Alhaji Yusuf Ohikwura Abdullahi, who was on ground to witnessed the reception organized in his honored to mark his 40th birthday, commended the invited guests for their unity and for rejoicing with him on his birthday.
Ohikwura, described Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa as his mentor and who brought him to limelight praying God to grant him long life, sound health and prerequisite wisdom so that the people of Kogi LG and beyond will continued to tap from his vast wealth of experience.
He also commended the Chairman and members of organizing committee headed by Kogi LG Education Secretary, Alhaji Chief Shuaibu Salihu Adamu with other friends who also joined the celebration.
On his part, immediate past Administrator of Kogi LG, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa, on Saturday spoke to the youths about the importance of hard work as everything could be achieved by hard work.
The former council boss, who further praised the celebrant, said he is a man that is ever ready to sacrifice, to give to his community.
He stated that the celebrant had been making efforts for his people, which is why he had attained several heights, including being a chieftaincy title holder before the golden age being celebrated.
The legal luminary then enjoined the youths of the area to emulate Alhaji Ohikwura so as to make the area better.
According to him, talent is good but even if you have very little talent, with hard work, you can achieve what you want in life,” he said.
Barr. Tanko, who is also the Senior Special Assistant on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, took his time to recognised some dignitaries at the event, he thanked them for their solidarity to whom he refer as a future leader and having achieved so much at the golden age of 40th.
Barr. Tanko prayed for God’s continued blessings and guidance for Ohikwura and commended the commitment and dedication of the celebrant to the service of the host LG and State in general.
“Let me join all the good people, Sons and Daughters of our land, friends and invited guests here, to wish you a very happy birthday, and to ask for God’s blessings on you; and to say how much we all appreciate you”.
“We know that you are doing an exceptionally herculean job and we are proud of you; and continue to bless you and wish you many happy returns,” Barr. Tanko said.
The treasurer for Lokoja Local Government, Alhaji Isah Adoga described Alhaji Ohikwura as a man that is humble, dutiful, kind and hardworking.
He used the occasion to also praise the man, whom he said has wisdom beyond his age, noting that he is a blessing to their forum, to the treasury department, to the Local Government Council and the state at large and prayed that he had more opportunities to impact humanity.
Also speaking, the Director of Dekina Local Government Area, Chief Adegbe Johnson who also prayed for Long life and prosperity for the celebrant, described him as a man that prepared him for his current position.
He said forty years looked good on him, stating that he is intelligent, dedicated, and passionate about whatever he puts his minds to and prayed God to grant him long life and prosperity.
