At the launch event of Human Capital Africa, a new advocacy and accountability organization that uses evidence to mobilize governments at all levels to take actions that improve Foundational Literacy and Numeracy(FNL) outcomes for children in the Sub-Sahara Africa (SSA), the pupils and students of Pacesetters Schools stole the show with their scintillating academic performance.

The guests were spell-bound thundering unending applauds at the performance of pupils and students who showed the type of quality education at Pacesetters Academy, the Abuja based group of schools owned by the Edo State born philanthropist, nationalist and politician, Barr. Kenneth Imansuangbon.

The launch event which held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, drew academicians, intellectuals, traditional rulers, researchers, former presidents and ministers, NGOs, a sitting governor and businessmen and arrays of dignitaries who attended in persons and virtually.

The Human Capital Africa executive leadership is being steered under the capable hands of Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, an exemplary African leader, who is committed to the future of African children by advocating for their education and general well-being. She is joined by Modupe Adefeso-Olateju(Mo) who is a visionary in the realm of education and Alero Ayida-Otobo, who is an education specialist and has widespread experience in implementing education reforms. The leadership of HCA is guided by a representative board of influential and committed regional leaders chaired by Her Excellency, Dr. Joyce Banda(former president of Malawi).

The opening and closing remarks on HCA was made by the erudite Edo State governor, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki while Bar. Ken Imansuangbon spoke on the need for all stakeholders in the education sector to collaborate for the improvement of child Literacy and Numeracy in the Sub-Sahara Africa as Pacesetters Academy have been doing for the past 25 years.

Other speakers at the event were Dr. Joyce Banda, former President of Tanzania, Dr. Jakaya Kikwete, N’Diaye Ramatoulaye, Former Minister Handicrafts, Tourism and Culture, Mali, Her Royal Highness Olori Atuwatse 111, Olu of Warri Aghofen, Kenneth Russell of UNICEF, Tonye Cole, Cofounder and former group executive of Sahara Group, among others.
