Peace Building Initiative: Toto LG Boss Tasks Residents To Live Peacefully With One Another Irrespective of Their Differences

The Chairman, Toto Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas has advised the people of the area with the need to live in peace with one another irrespective of their differences.

He stated this while receiving the special assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Farmer’s herders, Khadijat Adamu Jibrin, who was on a peace advocacy tour to Farmers and herders of five local government areas in Nasarawa Western zone, held at Tudun Uku, Toto local government area, Wednesday.

The peace advocacy and sensitization tour embarked upon by the Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Farmers-Headers, Khadijat Jibrin Adamu, to Toto Local government area had in attendance, Fulani and Farmers from Tudun Uku, Karmo, Nakuse, and Kurudu, where they deliberated on ways to find lasting peace in the communities

Addressing members of the Peace meeting, Chairman, Toto Local Government area, Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, said the meeting was timely and appreciated the special assistant to the Governor, for sensitizing the community on the need to live in peace with one another and however, admonished people of Toto to always tolerate each other’s culture for sustainable peace and unity of the community.

Earlier, the special assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule, Khadijat Adamu, said the essence of their meeting was to educate rural communities on the importance of peace to the development of society, stating that Governor Abdullahi Sule has done well in terms of securing the lives of Nasarawa citizens, calling for support to enable the government to succeed.

Khadijat Jibrin Adamu with her Entourage visited chairman Nasarawa Local government area, Mohammed Sani Otto, and the emir of Nasarawa Usman Jibrin, where the two leaders appreciated them for the peace-building initiative, thus, pledging their support to enable them to succeed.

Away from the emir’s palace Nasarawa, the special assistant also had a meeting with Farmers and herders at Gunki, who came from different villages of the Nasarawa local government, where the issue of peaceful coexistence topped the discussion.

Responding, Some of the community leaders who spoke during the meeting thanked the Governor’s aide for preaching peace to them and unanimously agreed to sustain the existing peace being enjoyed in their various communities.
