SDGs Launches Independent Evaluation Report on Goals 3,4. August 25

The office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals SDGs will tomorrow launch the independent evaluation on SDGs goals 3,4.

The two critical Goals, the first of their kind in Nigeria, comprising of Health and Education will present a comprehensive report on Voluntary National Review (VNR) on the program in the last six years and towards its 2020-2030 agenda among the 17 goals, and 169 targets.

The event takes place at the conference Hall of the presidential Villa on Thursday, August 25.

The Goals management efforts under Princess Adejoke Orelope- Adefulire, the Senior Special Assistant to the President SSA-OSAP was in line with the global sustainable template agreed in March 2016 during the 70th UN General Assembly to continue to evaluate its programs which started in 2019.

The need to review the achievements of the SDGs in Nigeria was geared towards addressing the critical areas of provision of basic needs in Health and Education that is geared towards addressing the social, economic, and environmental issues.

The official launch by Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo will attract Ministers, State Governor, State Commissioners of Health and Education, organized private sector, civil society organizations, and development partners who are the critical stakeholders of the program in Nigeria.
