Sen Ohere react to tribunal ruling, says he remains Senator for Kogi Central

Senator Abubakar Ohere representing Kogi Central Central District of Kogi State said he remains the Senator Representing Kogi Central, until the Appeal Court decides otherwise.

In a statement issued by the Media team of the Senator, called for calm, assuring that the Senator having consulted with his legal team has headed for the Appeal Court.

Recall that the National Assembly Tribunal sitting in Lokoja, today declared Barr. Natasha Akpoti Udaughan Winner in the National Assembly Election held in February to Represent Kogi Central Senatorial District.

The Sen. Ohere Media Team however called for calm on the part of the majority of the people of Kogi Central, assuring that following the judgment delivered at the Tribunal, have confidence that it will get Justice at the Appeal Court.

The Media Team says it was not an issue of contention that the people of Kogi Central overwhelmingly voted for Sen. Ohere, described the February National Assembly Election as the freest election ever conducted in the area.

The Media Team however assured that the voice of God which is the voice of the people will be made loud at the Appeal Court when all the gray areas noticed in the Tribunal judgment would be brought before the Court of second instance.

The Media Team praised the Judiciary for standing up for the people when it matters most, says it looks forward with optimism for the Appeal Court to rekindle the hope of common man in the coming days.
