A former President of Egbura Youth Movement (EYM) in Nasarawa State, Hon. Alhaji Abdullahi Kasim Ohizi, have lauded, the lawmaker representing Toto/Gadabuke constituency at the state House of Assembly, Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa for embarking on rural development projects aimed at returning the lost glory.

The former Egbura youth leader gave the commendations on Tuesday during an inspection visit to ascertain the level of work done on the various projects embarked by Hon. Labaran Shafa in some communities in Toto Local Government Council.

Alhaji Kasim Ohizi, while welcoming the good initiative of the lawmaker explained that the lack of government presence in the area had brought lots of hardship to the people residing in the area over the years.

He said that the prompt intervention of the Toto/Gadabuke lawmaker geared towards redeeming the suffering and changing the narrative was a great respite for the communities adding that the provision of potable water will also save the people from severe problem of trekking a long distance to access water in the area.

According to him, many communities have benefited from the ongoing installation of solar system lights which are Lokogoma, Tudu Uku, Gadabuke, Chiji and among others.

“When Hon. Labaran Shafa gave us the promise to do these projects during his campaign visit, we did not believe he will remember us after the election. But today he has fulfilled his campaign promise to us and we are happy over it. We can only pray for him.

“We want to assure him of our continued support and cooperation for his success so that we can benefit more from his people oriented projects”, He explained.
In his remarks, Kasim expressed satisfaction with the level of work done on the project.

“I want to also inform you that the member representing Umaisha/Ugya constituency and who double as Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim Balarabe is transforming the area inline with his campaign promises”.

He call on the people of Toto local government area to rally round the two leaders in order to do more for their people.

Alhaji Kasim Ohizi pleaded with Nasarawa State government to as a matter of public interest rehabilitate Toto Youth Center and Toto Abattoir which now stink causing unpleasant odour to the community.
