SUBEB Projects: Nasarawa Assembly summons Keystone Bank

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Education has summoned the management of Keystone Bank to appear before it on Monday, next week by 10am.

This, the committee said, was to enable the bank explain why contractors handling SUBEB projects cannot access their contract funds with the bank.

Hon Daniel Ogazi, the Chairman of the committee gave the summon when the Lafia Branch Manager of the Bank appeared alongside SUBEB management before the committee today in Lafia.

Ogazi has also directed the management of SUBEB to also appear on Monday, next week by 10am alongside the Keystone Bank.

” We want you to speak in camera as our sitting is always open for public consumption,” he said.

The chairman said that the committee would ensure that no stone is left unturned in knowing the truth position of what is happening in SUBUB regarding the payment of contract to contractors for the interest of basic education in the state.

Earlier, the Lafia Branch Manager of Keystone Bank said that he was not authorized to speak on camera.

” I can not speak in camera Sir, I need more time to get permission to do that from my bank Sir,” he said.
