Ten years remembrance: Senator Aduda to immortalize late aide, Jimiko

The Senate minority leader, Senator Philip Aduda representing the FCT, has pledged to immortalize his late legislative aide, Hon James Zhabo Jimiko.

Aduda, while speaking at the 10th – year memorial thanksgiving service of the late Jimiko, which was held at Karu town hall on Saturday, said it has not been easy, even as he said he thanked God he grew up together with the late Jimiko and shared many things in common.

He said he knew the late Jimiko even before they got married, saying it has been easy, even as he said he thanked God for his mercies on both family and that of his late aide.

“So I want to say to God be the glory as no matter what the circumstances, we give glory to God Almighty. And as you can see that a street has been named after him,’ he said.

The senate minority leader, however, said that he is currently executing many projects, and he said most of the projects will be immortalized before the late Jimiko.

He said the ten-year remembrance of his late legislative aide has brought consciousness to the fact of how the family has continued to leave a fulfilled life.

Also speaking, the senior special assistant on special duties to the senate minority leader, Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo, said the late Jimiko was his senior at the national assembly.

He said there are a lot of lessons he had learned from late, Jimiko while describing him as a wonderful, hardworking, gentle, and easy-going man that everyone loves to always work with.

On her part, the wife of the FCT senator, Princess Hauwa Philip Aduda, said she gives praise to God for sustaining the deceased family for ten years, even though she said it has not been easy but God has always been with her her her deceased family.

“Besides, late Jimiko was also a support to my family as well. I remembered most of the time, especially during electioneering campaigns, where just my team and Jimiko are always together,” she said.

Our correspondent report that among dignitaries that also attended the memorial thanksgiving service included the FCT honorable commissioner for Public Complaints Commission (PCC) Ezikel Dalhatu Musa and personalities.
