The youth groups in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State particularly ladies association held a thanked you rally in support of the state government effort geared towards attracting meaningful development to the area.
Globaltimesnigeria reports that the event was organized in honour of Governor Abdullahi Sule led APC administration in the State for his effort in empowerment, securing the entire LG from all sort of criminality and infrastructural development taken place in the area among others.
Miss Hafsat Gali, Chairperson of Peaceful Ladies Association, on behalf of the populace thanked the Governor for considering Toto LG in his developmental plans, saying that they will continue to render their total support, loyalty and solidarity to his administration.
She, however, call on the Governor as a father of the State and Toto LG in particular to intervene as to fix the age-long abandoned electricity projects.
“We want our father who double as Nasarawa State Governor to as a matter of public importance and urgency come to our aid to fix our electricity project which was abandoned by successive administration”.
She went further to enlist some project required by the people of Toto, adding that if accomplished the area will witnessed massive patronage as a business hub of the State which include:
1. Higher institution
2. Electricity
3. Radio station
4. Reconstruction of Toto-Nasarawa road
5. employment and empowerment opportunities
6. Infrastructure
Hafsat Gali also said the LG is for the Governor that they have already resolved to work for his second term bid in 2023 gubernatorial election in the State.
Speaking earlier, Hon. Alh. (Prince) Nuhu Adamu Dauda, the Executive Chairman Toto LG, lauded the efforts of all the traditional rulers especially the first class ruler HRH, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi the (Ohimege Opanda) Umaisha, Onah of Toto (Ohinoyi Of Ogye), HRH, Alhaji Muhammad Umar Azaki for
their cooperatiin with the amiable Governor, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, towards sustainable peace in the host LG.
“I want to on behalf of traditional rulers, women and youths to thanked our amiable Governor for salvaging our LG from militia, Banditry and all sort of criminality terrorising that had for years make our area ungovernable.”
“You have done greatly well Sir. The do-or-die security approached you used to rescue Toto LGA has made you a hero of Toto and an epitome of peace, unity and development.”.
“I want to appreciate you profoundly for bringing peace in our land because, peace is a panacea of unity and development of every society.”
“Your Excellency Sir, our youths demanded a lot today of which I knew you would fulfill them in no distance time.” The Chairman stated.
The representative of Her Excellency and first lady of the State, Hajiya Ramatu Dalhatu was warmly received by Toto women substance, notably Bazawo women association with songs of praise and appreciation for the Governor they refer as an peace ambassador
She described Toto youths especially peaceful ladies association as one the great support group working for the Governor in view of their dedication, commitment and experience for knowing and understanding the value of the government.
She assured people of Toto LGA authoritatively that His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule will never relent on his commitment to attract meaningful development to the area and said their message will get to the Governor for onward action.
