The Chairman of Toto local government area of Nasarawa State, Hon Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has appointed publisher of Global Times Nigeria, an on-line medium, Yahaya Idris, as his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Media and Publicity.
Tasha’s, who disclosed this in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Monday, said the appointment takes immediate effect.
He said the appointment of Global Times Nigeria publisher was based on his track record in media cycle, which he said has contributed a lot towards sustenance of democracy especially in Nasarawa state.
According to him, the Yahaya Idris, has contributed towards sensitizing and enlightening the populace through his medium (Global Times Nigeria) on-line in keeping readers abreast about events in the society.
“And it was on this premise that after going through his track record, I have resolved to appoint the Global Times Nigeria, an online media publisher, Yahaya Idris, as my Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on media and publicity, in which I congratulate you on your appointment,” he said.
Global Times Nigeria correspondent report that, Yahaya Idris, a native of Toto local government area of Nasarawa state, hold a National Diploma from College of Agricultural Science and Technology Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Yahaya, a prolific writer, is currently studying Philosophy at the Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State.
The appointment take effect from October 25th, 2021.”
