Unknown gunmen kidnap Naval Officer in Kogi.

The family of a Naval staff serving at Naval Headquarters Abuja, Musa Lawal, has reported his kidnap from his home in Lokoja on Monday night.

An eye witness said he was kidnapped in Lokoja at 8 pm by the yet-to-be-identified armed men who were said to have stormed the victim’s residence behind the post Flood Housing Estate, Lokoja at about 8 pm.

Family sources disclosed that the abductors of the Naval staff destroyed the doors and windows before gaining entry into the apartment.

According to the family, an hour after the kidnap, the assailants called, demanding the sum of 3 million naira ransom.

The wife of the kidnapped Naval Officer, Mrs. Juliana Musa, who narrated her ordeal, said one of her husband’s hands was cut and taken away bleeding profusely.

All efforts to confirm from the Kogi State police command were not successful as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), William Aya, could not be reached at the time of filing this report.

The Naval Officer was said to have prepared to report to his duty post the next day Tuesday, but suddenly the kidnappers invade his residence.
