Updated: Nasarawa Lawmakers postpone recess for emergency sitting Thursday 24th and Friday 25th
Members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly have postponed their ongoing recess for emergency sitting slated for this week, precisely Thursday 24th and Friday 25th of August, 2023.
In a press released signed and issued on Tuesday by Acting Clerk of the House, Malam Ibrahim Musa and made available to Journaist in Lafia, the State capital
The Clerk says meeting is very important and saying its for overall progress and development the State.
According to the statement, the sitting is on the instance of the Speaker of the State House Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi.
The statement further called on all Honourable Members of the House to attend the sitting unfailingly to attend to an important state matters.
The statement said the sitting is to hold at the Assembly complex Shendam Road Lafia by 10 O’clock in the morning.
It added that all Clerks at table and other chamber staff are expected to be on hand by 9 o’clock in the morning for all necessary arrangements for the sitting.
Recalled that Hon. Members of the 7th Nasarawa State House of Assembly has proceeded on recess Wednesday 2nd August, 2023 to resume on 4th September, 2023 but has to by this statement suspend their holidays and re-converged for an emergency sitting for Two days as directed by Mr Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi holding this week between Thursday and Friday respectively.
