Wako Chiefdom Confers Magajiyan Kasan On FCT State Minister

The palace of Wako chiefdom in Kwali area council of the Federal Capital Territory has conferred on the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, the traditional title of Magajiyan Kasan Wako.

The conferment was contained in a letter dated January 5, 2023, which was conveyed to the Office of the Honourable Minister of State FCT.

The letter titled: “Letter of conferment of traditional title as the Magajiyan Kasan Wako”, stated that the conferment was premised on the recommendation of the entire palace cabinet of Wako chiefdom.

The letter signed by HRH. Etsu Abdulaziz Usman Ibrahim, the Etsu-mi Wako reads in parts: “I have the pleasure to convey the palace of Etsu-mi Wako’s approval to confer on you the traditional title of the Magajiyan Kasan Wako, in Kwali Area Council FCT, Abuja.

“This responsibility was Premised on the recommendation of the entire palace cabinet of Wako chiefdom.

“The exercise of the power conferred on HRH Etsu-mi Wako by the tradition of the land has confirmed your traditional title on this date 10th December, 2022.

“You are expected to perform any other function that may be given to you from time to time by the palace of Etsu-mi Wako.

“Therefore, you are please invited to note that this exalted traditional title demands a high sense commitment which you must exercise always.

“Please accept the palace’s congratulations”.

Meanwhile, the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, commended the palace cabinet for the honour done to her by bestowing the prestigious traditional title.

While promising to contribute her quote towards the promotion of good relationship among different ethnic groups across the six area councils, she affirmed that the honour would spur her to greater heights.

Aliyu promised that she will use her exalted office to provide good leadership, and promote harmonious relationships and respect for all tribes and inhabitants of Kwali community and indeed other area councils in the Territory.
