“We Are Poised To Ensure Every Member’s Mindset Is Built Towards ICT”, – Says ANAN Chairman

The FCT branch II chairman of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) in Gwagwalada, Mr. Emmanuel Agbo, said the association is poised to ensure that every member of ANAN mindset is built towards Information Communication Technology (ICT).

Ago, stated this during the ANAN 2021 annual dinner/award night and launching of the association maiden magazine held at the NUT teachers house in Gwagwalada, on Tuesday.

He said ANAN will continue to train and retrain its members in the coming years vis a vis, accounting technology to enhance excellent service delivery across all sectors of the economy.

ANAN chairman, however, presented an excellent award to the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Abuja teaching hospital, Gwagwalada, Prof. Bisala Ahmed Ekele, Army commanding officer of the 176 battalion brigade, Gwagwalada, Lt Col. J.K Adisa, Gwagwalada Divisional Police Officer (DPO) CSP Terso Tiele, and 18 others.

According to him, the award was conferred to the recipients because of their contribution to the development of the society, especially the army officer and the DPO, whom he said were instrumental to the rescue of the kidnapped staff of the University of Abuja.

“You see, people believe that it’s when someone dieS before you will begin to appreciate them. That era has gone, as if we continue with the old system, it means that people will not put in their efforts to do something for the society,” he said.

Also speaking, the chairman of Abaji area council, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, who is the ANAN patron and also chairman of the occasion, said the place of professional accountant become so pertinent due to the larger roles members of ANAN are expected to play as advise services people, policy formulation and among others.
Our correspondent report among other recipients of the award included the chairman of Toto local government area of Nasarawa State, Hon Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas, vice-chancellor of the University of Abuja, Prof Abdulrasheed Na’All, ah and other top personalities.
