The Executive Chairman of Toto local government Area of Nasarawa State, Honorable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, on Thursday received all the political appointees in his office to an interactive session.

The Chairman who congratulated the newly appointed members of his cabinet, calling for the need to ensure success in their various offices.

He said his new administration is built on trust, sincerity of purpose, nobility, and prudence noting that they can’t afford to fail the people of Toto Local Government Area after entrust them with mandate.

Tashas who formerly serve as councilor representing Gwargwada ward in Toto LGC and one time Special Adviser on conflict resolution to the former Governor of the State, Alhaji Sen. Umaru Tanko Al-makura, said he has garner leadership experience which will enhance his success in his quest to provide leadership to the people of the area.

The council boss who identify Selfishness, arrogant, pride, disloyalty and disobedient, falsehoods, abuse office, and lack of due process as major reasons political appointees fail.

Tashas noted that for any politicians to succeed in office he/she must be humble, loyal, firm in decision making and ready to accept responsibilities all the times.

While congratulating the appointees, he charge them on hard work, dedication to duties even as he asked them to put the interest of the party and people of Toto LG above other interest.

The Chairman also urged the new appointees to be of good conduct wherever they found themselves, adding that they’re representing Toto LG and hence to bring their wealth of experiences to bear inline with the new administration under his leadership.

“We have limited time to deliver our campaign promises, we must work hard to meet up the people’s expectation and yearning.” He said 

The session also afforded all appointees to comes up with their contributions that will move the council to the zenith level of development and prosperity.

On 2023 general election, Hon. Tashas said they appointees should work closely with the people in an efforts to deliver the Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Sule and two lawmakers representing Toto LG in the State house of Assembly, Lafia in order to continue to benefit from their dividends of democracy.

Responding, Vice Chairman of the council, Speaker of the legislative arm and Supervisory councilor for Works and Housing, thanked the Executive Chairman for the opportunity given to them, assured of their unflinching support, loyalty and solidarity not only to the Chairman but the party and all the leaders in the area.

The meeting which had in attendance, Vice Chairman of the council, Hon. Abubakar Haruna Kwanakis, Speaker of the legislative arm, Rt. Hon. Abdulhameed Ayizi-mazi, Secretary of the council, Hon. Mohammed Zakari, Supervisory councilors, others includes, Special Advisers, SAs, Senior Special Assistants, SSAs, Chief of Staff, Clerk of the legislative arm, Personal Assistants and protocol officer among others.
