After weeks of speculations whether the current Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security matters in Ijumu local government area, Alhaji Taufiq Isa will contest or not, The leader of Ijumu Grassroots Youth Movement, IGYM, Ola Daniels has said the Group has unanimously endorsed his candidature as the next democratically elected chairman of the council in view of his numerous track records of performance while serving as Administrator.
In a statement issued recently by the grassroots based Association in Ijumu, and duly signed by the coordinator, Mr. Ola Daniels stated that the Group has “asked Taufiq Isa repeatedly in the past few weeks to consider a more active role in the contest of Ijumu council race”.
“After prayerful consideration, we feel the time to payback the good deeds done to the youth across Ijumu by he ‘Taufiq, is now right time to elect him as democratically elected council chairman and we are enthusiastically pursuing this opportunity to ensure its come to reality, the group said.
It also stated that the reasons behind the massive support for Taufiq Isa was his priorities to continue to unify and strengthen the people of Ijumu, and his continuous loyalty and commitment to the present administration of Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello”.
