The Minister of State Science and Technology, Hon. Mohammed H. Abdullahi have urged Christians to reflect on the birth of Christ and imbibe His preaching on peace and love.
“I rejoice with all Nigerians in general and every Christian family in particular as we celebrate another Christmas in the land of the living, and I pray that the joy associated with the season will be your portion.
The belief generally is that the joy of Christmas is not limited to His unprecedented and miraculous birth, but is personality and activities which gave credence to His birth.
however, urged Nigerians, irrespective of their religious inclination, to learn how to tolerate each other and live together as one indivisible entity.
A statement by Press Secretary, Maryam Zakari, said I rejoices with the Christian in Nasarawa state and the country at large on the celebration of Chrismas and new year.
He called on Christains in Nasarawa State and all over Nigeria to celebrate this year’s Christmas with caution in view of the resurgent of coronavirus pandemic.
The Minister enjoined Christian to pray for security of the nation, peace, unity and progress of the state and the nation at large.
Barrister Mohammed H. Abdulahi states that Nigeria is going through some security and economic challenges which by God’s grace would be surmountable. He advised Christians and other Nigerians to celebrate peacefully while expressing hope that the new year will be far better than previous years.
The Hon. Minister while wishing all Christian a blissful charismas and new year celebrations advised that the coronavirus protocols should be observed before, during and after the period.
