Yuletide: Kogi Auditor General Yakubu Okala greets Gov Bello, Ododo, Christians, Citizens
As Christians around the world celebrate yet another Christmas which is the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ (Emmanuel-God With Us), the savior of the universe, Auditor General of Kogi State, Yakubu Yusuf Okala has felicitated with the state governor, Alh Yahaya Bello, the governor elect, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo Usman Ododo, Christians and non Christians alike on this auspicious occasion.
Okala in a message of felicitation which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja, kogi State capital described the out going year’s has hilarious and remarkable attainments judging from the tremendous unity, peace, human and infrastructural development the state and its citizens have observed during the period under focused.
He admonished the celebrants and residents to in the spirit of the season to draw lessons from the birth of our Lord and savior which symbolises gift to the world, love, humility, sacrifice, and know the overriding essence of his coming to world which granted mercy and grace to mankind.
Okala equally implored adherents of Jesus Christ to possess,meditate and practice his principles which hinged on love, forgiveness giving, peace, and rescuing mankind from the bondage of curses and sins to percolate them.
Auditor General, who advised the people not to see the festive season as an era of jamboree and merry making only, similarly urged them to give their unalloyed support to enable government deliver on its policies and programmes especially the incoming administration of Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo (Governor Elect) to allow him consolidate and continue on the giant leaps already established by Governor Yahaya Bello administration.
”As we all celebrate this feast , Okala enjoined the citizens to foster good neighborliness , promote peace, unity in diversity and sustained their prayers for those authority to deliver on their task to jump start the socioe-conomics and infrastructural development of the state”, He advised.
