Hon. Danga Assures Fed. Min. of Water Resources of KSG Commitment to Campaign on Clean Nigeria, War Against Open Defecation

Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resoenvironment, Hon. (Dr.) Abdulmumin Danga has assured the Federal Ministry of Water Resources of the State Government’s commitment towards realizing the goals of Campaign on Clean Nigeria and War Against Open Defecation that was launched in the State capital.

Hon. Danga, who gave the assurance during the launch of the program said since the State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello assumed Office, he has accorded attention to the environment, describing the initiative as a welcomed development.

“It is very obvious that open defecation has caused alot of havoc to the wellbeing of the people, causing cholera, typhoid and other ailment

“With our collective efforts, I know it will become a thing of the past

“Kogi State government under the distinguished leadership of the Visionary, Charismatic, Egalitarian and Pragmatic Leadership of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello the Executive Governor our dear State will continue to campaign against open defecation, partner and Collaborate with the Federal Ministry at all times to actualize an ideal society, free from water related ailment”

Thw Commissioner explained that the National Youth volunteer program will involve the engagement of 100 youths in each of the 774 Local Government Areas across the Country for 3 months to carry out prompt awareness, enlightenment, education and sensitization activities on WASH ( Water Sanitation and Hygiene) Program.
Hon. Danga further explained that a Non Governmental Organization known as Community Based Initiative for Growth and Sustainability will be Coordinating and facilitating the program in the Middle belt part of the Country which Kogi State is not exceptional.

Hon Danga advised the selected Youths across Kogi State to make the the State proud and be diligent in the discharge of their new assignment.
