2021 Eid-el-kabir: OJN Felicitate With GYB, Urge Muslims To Pray for Peace in Nigeria

As Muslims in Kogi State join their counterparts across the world to celebrate the 2021 Eid-el-kabir, they have been called to pray to Allah to sustain the peace currently experienced in the State.

The Commissioner for Youth Political Participation Pan-African Youth Union (PYN), the apex youth body in Africa, Ambassador Oladele John Nihi (OJN), made the call in his Eid-el-kabir felicitation message.

Ambassador Nihi said Kogi State despite being boardered by other States, have been experiencing peace courtesy of the Pragmatic efforts of the Governor Yahaya Bello led administration in the State.

He called on Muslim Ummah to use the celebration to also pray for Allah’s peace to reign over Nigeria and rescue the Country from all its challenges.

“Other States do wonder how Kogi has been faring despite being boadered with 10 States including the FCT, the secret has been the spirit of oneness injected into the hearts of Kogites by the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of the State

“We are not only united as a State but we now coexist peacefully as one people despite the ethic and religion differences

“As we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-kabir, I am urging all Kogites to keep the fire of unity burning irrespective of external differences aiming at causing chaos in order to jeopardize the peace currently enjoyed by all Kogites

“The Country is currently experiencing an atmosphere of unrest in many sectors ranging from; security, economy, health, and even human capital development but reverse is the case in Kogi State; as His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello has been able to put in place all parameters to ensure a secured and functional State

“As we Celebrate Eid-el-kabir, let’s remember our dear Nation Nigeria in our prayers, we need Allah’s intervention now than ever so that peace can return to our Country

“Let us all have in mind as we celebrate, words from the Holy Quran in Surat Hajj verse 37 “It is not their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, it is your piety that reaches Him”

Ambassador Nihi, who is also the Director General, GYB2PYB Support Group, commended Governor Bello for the unity his administration has brought to the State, as various tribes now see themselves as one, and prayed God to continue to help the Governor achieve greater heights.

“It’s Eid-el-kabir once again and this makes the 6th for His Excellency as the Executive Governor of Kogi State

“I wish him above all other things, safety and total well-being to continue with the good works in Kogi State, that would by God’s grace translates him to the Villa come 2023

“Governor Yahaya Bello has/is made/making a lot of sacrifices to get Kogi State working again, and I pray Allah (SWT) accepts his sacrifices just as He accepted Ibrahim’s sacrifice”

He also enjoined Muslims to use the season to reach out to the needy and the less privileged in the society, stressing that such act attracts Allah’s blessings.
