2023 election: Nwachukwu tasks Abia populaces on PVC

An Abia chieftain and renowned business tycoon, Sir Innocent Chimezie Nwachukwu (KSM) has emphasized the urgent importance of the ongoing Permanent Voters Card Registration and Revalidation exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across the Nigeria federation.

This is even as Nwachujwu tasked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on adequate provisions of logistics to ensure hitch-free and acceptable PVC Registration and Revalidation exercise now ongoing.

He urged eligible Abians particularly the people of Umuahia East Constituency visit any designated INEC points or units and get registered and revalidated to consolidate democratic gains recorded in Abia, through credible elections slated in 2023.

He reminded Abia’s electorate that time is now for them to get their Permanent Voters Cards which served as the only tool and weapon to deepening democracy in the state and the country as a whole come 2023.

Nwachukwu, who declared his interest to run for the seat of Umuahia East Constituency in Abia Assembly in the upcoming 2023 general elections, in a statement on Monday, lamented that the Constituency has suffered huge neglect as a result of poor and ineffective representations by successor occupants at the lower legislative chamber of the Abia State House of Assembly.

Asked also to give insights on his decision to seek for the mandate of the people of Umuahia East state Constituency, Innocent Nwachukwu, said he was moved to deciding a thorough consultation with the people, critical political leaders, and stakeholders in Umuahia East constituency.

The House of Assembly hopeful also used the medium to reiterate the unwavering commitment and zeal he would display which will bring to bear, and foster many attractions of basic national assets in the constituency, aimed at enhancing socio-economic and Infrastructural growth and development in all local communities that formed Umuahia East Constituency.

Meanwhile, nonindigenes residing in Umuahia East state Constituency of Abia State, have unanimously endorsed Sir Innocent Nwachukwu, for the seat of Umuahia East in Abia State House of Assembly come 2023.

This was disclosed in a statement by the leader of the non-indigenes, Mazi Okezie Nwaulu, made available to journalists in Umuahia, the state capital on Monday.
