The All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate in the FCT, Alhaji Zakari Angulu Dobi, and his Abuja south house representive candidate of the party in 2023 general election, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, visited some of the graded traditional rulers, where the royal fathers gave both of them their blessings.
The APC candidates, who were accompanied by the Abaji APC chairmanship candidate in the last council election, Alhaji Mohammed Angulu Loko, former chairmen of Kuje area council, Alhaji Abdullahi D. Galadima and Ishaku Shaban Tete alongside party chieftains and youth groups, visited the Etsu of Yaba, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, the Agabe of Ugbada – Gwargwada, Alhaji Husaaini Agabi Mam, the Chief of Rubochi, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammad is Pada, and the Etsu of Wako, Alhaji Abdullazeez D. Usman, at their palaces.
Speaking during the visit, the APC Senatorial candidate, Alhaji Zakari Angulu Dobi, said though, the visit was to commiserate with the monarch’s over the demised of the late Etsu Kwali chiefdom, HRH Alhaji Sha’aban Audu Nizazo, who passed away last week at a private hospital in Abuja.
He said he and his house of representative candidate for Abuja south federal constituency alongside his people will surely missed the late monarch, especially his wise counsel whenever he visited him.
Dobi, however, promised to engage the government through the national assembly to ensure that there is government presence across the 62 political wards of the territory.
He added that he will ensure he lobbied fora appointment of an FCT representative at the Federal Executive Council (FEC), adding that he will also lobby for the second tier of government and inclusion of FCT indigines in political and pensionable appointments at various agencies and parastatas in the FCT.
According to him, there was need to establish a perfect working relationship with the national government in order to achieve a perfect working relationship, hence, it is imperative for FCT people to vote for the presidential candidate of the APC, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu in 2023 election.
However, the traditional rulers in their responses, appreciated the APC senatorial and the house of representative candidates for their visit to commiserate with them over death of late Kwali monarch.
The monarch’s, therefore, blessed the candidates and prayed for God to grant them success in the February, 25 general election, even as they cautioned party members and supporters to conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the elections.
