The All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate in 2023 general election, Hon Zakari Angulu Dobi, has expressed confident that God’s willing, the ruling party will take over the seat from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) during the February, 25, 2023 in the territory.
Dobi, who was addressing mammoth crowd of the party’s supporters and members during the party’s mega rally that held at eagle square in Abuja, on Saturday, said all the party’s candidates including the presidential and the two house of representative for both AMAC /Bwari and Abuja south shall emerged victorious God’s willing.
“It’s funny that some days back, some people were here to tell Abuja people that they will come back again in 2023. And I want to tell FCT people that, that’s practical lie,” he said.
He, therefore, called on people of the FCT to come out enmass to vote for the APC right from presidential down to the houses of the representatives, saying their votes will surely count at the polls.
He, however, said that Zakari Angulu is a house hold name in the FCT, saying the reign of the PDP will surely come to an end in the territory in 2023 general elections.
“This is assurance I am giving people of the FCT, they should and go write it down. Inshallah, come 2023, the presidential and all the elective seats shall all go for the APC,” he said.
Ealier, the state chairman of the APC in the FCT, Alhaji Usman Abdulmalik, commended the state minister of the FCT, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu for organizing the mega rally.
He said he overwhelmed with the massive turnout of the party’s supporters across the six area councils that came to support to their candidates running for elective positions in the FCT including the presidential candidate of the party, Senator Bola Ahmed Tibunu.
He, however, called on members and supporters of the party across the FCT to ensure they collect their voters card from the INEC saying the voters is the only ‘weapon’ they will use to excersise their franchise on election day.
The APC house of representative candidate for Abuja south federal constituency, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, noted that the mega rally has signified the beginning of the party’s victory in 2023 election in the FCT.
He said tune has come for people of the territory to come out enmass to excersise their franchise, adding that the time has come to prove to all Nigerians that APC truly belongs to FCT.
“And by the special grace of God, APC will be declared as winner from presidential, senatorial and the two house of representatives seats come 2023 Inshallah,” he said.
In her speech, the minister of state for FCT, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, commended the party’s supporters for trekking in solidarity for the party’s presidential candidate and the senate as well as the two houses of representatives candidates in 2023 election.
She said the massive turnout of the supporters across the six area councils was an indication that the party has the highest numerical strength in the APC, while urging them to believe in capacity of the party’s presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tibunu.
“Believe in bridge builder of this nation who is nobody than the Jagaban. We have the believe that Bola Ahmed Tibunu has built so many leaders through mentorship,” she said.
Our correspondent report that event witnessed APC stalwarts including the a member of the PCC Faleke and host of others, while various Nigerian movie actors including Zule – Zoo, Baba Chinedu, Jack Rich entertained the crowd.
