There are adages that says “Good name is better than riches” and “children that washes their hands clean eats with the elders”
This is the case of the Director Administration, Directorate of Road Traffic Services, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Alhaji Usman Musa Yahaya, who has not only made good name for himself but has as well, played a Phillantropic role in Igbogo Community which qualifies him to be given a Chieftaincy title in Igbogo, Kogi/Koton-Karfe Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Worthy of note is the fact that Chieftaincy title is a sacred position that can only be earned by individuals who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to growth of the Society, empowerment of men, women/youths among others.
To this end, the Ohinoyi of Igbogo (Nyiwo), Mallam Abdulrahaman Salihu Gimba, found Alhaji Usman Musa Yahaya, worthy to be turbanned as the Amana-Ogbani (Abo) of Igbogo land.
Speaking with GlobaltimesNigeria at Igbogo, Alhaji Usman Musa Yahaya, described the honor done him as a rare privilege, and appreciated the traditional ruler of Igbogo for the gesture.
The Amana-Ogbani (abo) pointed out the Ohinoyi of Igbogo, Mallam Abdulrahaman Salihu Gimba (Nyiwo) is a gift to the Area, saying that he will continue to contribute his quota to the development Igbogo land.
“It is a rare privilege for your Chief to recognize, pick and give you a title in your Community. I feel so honoured and I lack words to express how happy I am”
“I think Igbogo land is lucky to have this man as the Ohinoyi of Igbogo. Before his reign, we were faced with lots of challenges, he came and God used him to resolve all pending issues and today, we are at peace in this land. We are very happy that we are having this kind of young man as the Ohinoyi of Igbogo. What is expected of those of us he has conferred with Chieftaincy title is that we should rally round him, give him useful advice that will move our Community forward”.
Alhaji Usman Musa Yahaya, noted that he will use the honour done him to add more value to the Area.
“Giving you a title is putting more responsibilities on your shoulders. So, since he has found me worthy to shoulder responsibility in this Community, I will do my possible best to see that whatever that has to do with the progress of this Community, I will contribute to it be it road, light, water projects, name them. I will contribute to it” he concluded.
