2023 Kogi Guber: APC group stages one million man march for Ododo.

As the Kogi state Governorship election gets closer, an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign group, ‘Renewed Vision for New Direction’, on Tuesday in Lokoja staged a one million man march for the actualization of Ahmed Usman Ododo as the next Governor.

Co-ordinator of the group, Honourable Simeon Balogun, while welcoming the participants to the
one million man march, said that it is aimed at promoting the All Progressives Congress (APC) being the most popular party in the state, to propagate the gospel of Ododo and his running mate, Joel Salifu.

He explained that several civil and peaceful campaign activities will be carried out across the 3,508 polling units in Kogi state as part of the strategies to pull support for the APC candidates come November 11 2023.

Honourable Balogun also disclosed that the group has not less than 200 members, with more than 100 registered grassroot campaign units working round the clock to ensure total victory during the November election.

While appreciating the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello for his good leadership, the Coordinator equally thanked the state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the entire members of the party for the choice of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as the candidate of the party.

The procession which commenced at about 8 a.m from zone 8 round about Hassan Usman Katsina road, passed through Lokogoma, Ganaja junction, APC secretariat, Radio Kogi, GT Bank, Post Office and ended at the Muhammadu Buhari square.

Addressing the tumultuous crowed the APC Governorship candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, thanked the volunteers for the show of love and support for him and the party.

He promised that the campaign will be peaceful and issues based so that the people can make an excellent choice, just as he added that his administration will be an offshoot of the Yahaya Bello’s New Direction policy.

The candidate maintained that the Bello administration has so far being the best in terms of security, education, health, infrastructural development and enshrining unity and stability of the state among several achievements.

In his goodwill message, Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Honourable Muhammed Bashir Gegu, urged the people of the state to re enact their commitment to the APC so as to ensure the overall development.

He pointed to several projects that are impacting on people of the state, which include hospitals some of international standard, beautiful and equipped school buildings and establishment of new Universities, gender sensitiveness, youth empowerment and uplifting of social status of many people in the society.

Prominent members of the ruling party, Commissioners, top government officials, youths and women groups attended the million man march

Also in attendance were Lokoja local government Chairman, Councillors, State House of Assembly members and others from all walks of life.
