2023: Lafia North APC chieftains endorsed Alkali, Sule for Second term, says they have felt their positive impacts

13 electoral ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) Lafia Local Government chapter of Nasarawa State, has on Monday endorsed endorsed Executive Governor Abdullahi Sule and Lafia North constituency at the state house of assembly, Hon Mohammed Ibrahim Alkali.

This they said the party in Lafia North state constituency has no other candidate for the 2023 election other than the incumbent member, Hon Mohammed Ibrahim Alkali.

Globaltimesnigeria.com report that the party’s endorsement followed a resolution reached and communique read to newsmen in the state by the coalition of the 13 electoral ward party’s chairmen of the APC at the end of its meeting held at the assembly complex.

The party chieftains also urged Hon Juliana Esla Dauda, an aspirant for Lafia North Constituency in the recent conducted APC Primary for 2023 general election to retrieve her appeal case at Appeal Court, Makurdi against Hon Mohammed Ibrahim Alkali, member representing Lafia North constituency at the state assembly.

The group said the decision was in line with Lafia APC stakeholders which was resolved during unity and reconciliation meeting held before judgement of the Federal High Court Lafia that there should be no appeal by both Hon Alkali and Hon Juliana, after Court judgement over the party primaries and who ever gets favour in court stands and should be supported by the other partner.

Mr Mohammed Suleiman Ramalan, the Chairman of the 13 APC ward Chairmen in Lafia LGA stated this while on a courtesy visit to Hon Alkali today in Lafia.

They said that the appeal case filed by Hon Juliana Esla Dauda contradicted the earlier agreement reached during stakeholders meeting of Lafia LGA that neither Hon Alkali nor Hon Juliana should appeal the Federal High Court judgement irrespective of whom the judgement favour.

” Hon sir, we are here to assure you of our support and our readiness to work with you for the success of APC at all levels in 2023.

” Sir, from here we will also look for Hon Juliana Esla Dauda to talk to her on the need for her to respect Lafia APC stakeholders meeting in which Sen. Tanko Al-Makura was in attendance that non of you should appeal the case after the judgement of the Federal High Court, Lafia.

” The agreement is that if her (Hon Juliana) win at the Federal High Court, Lafia, you (Hon Mohammed Ibrahim Alkali) will be her campaign Director General ( DG) for the Lafia North constituency election.

” And if you (Hon Mohammed Ibrahim Alkal) win, Hon Juliana Esla Dauda will be your campaign Director General ( DG). This decision was taken by APC stakeholders of Lafia in the interest of unity, peace, progress and development of the party.

“But, we learnt that Hon Juliana appealed the Federal High Court Judgement that favour you.

” We want to appeal to her to respect the earlier agreement reached by APC Stakeholders of Lafia LGA by retriving her appeal against you at the Appeal Court Makurdi.

” This is in the interest of unity, peace, and success of the party beyond 2023 in the constituency and beyond the constituency, ” he said.

Suleiman Ramalan, who is also the Chairman, 147 APC ward Chairmen in Nasarawa State said that he would tell Gov. Abdullahi Sule on the agreement reached by Lafia APC Stakeholders on the subject matter.

He also advised party faithful and other Nigerians against religious and ethnic politics.

The chairman called on the people of Lafia North constituency and the State at large to work for the victory of Hon Alkali, Gov. Sule and other APC candidates.

Responding, Hon Mohammed Ibrahim Alkali, member representing Lafia North Constituency at the state legislature appreciated them for the visit and assured them of open door policy at all times.

” My door is open for discussion at all times in order to move the party forward and to ensure the success of the party beyond 2023,” he said

Alkali, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs assured of his readiness to mobilise support for Gov. Sule and other APC candidates to succeed beyond 2023.

He also called on the people of his constituency and the State at large to support him, Gov. Sule and other candidates of the party to succeed beyond 2023.

The lawmaker also assured of effective and quality representation at the state legislature beyond 2023.

It would be reported that the courtesy visit included the APC ward Chairmen of Ciroma, Gayam, Makama, Zanwa, Keffi Wambai, Shabu/ Kwandere, Akurba, Ashige, Adogi/ Ugah, Assakio, Arikiya, Agyaragu Tofa and Wakwa wards respectively.
