…Says Senator Agege sinking politically in Delta State.

Assistant Deputy Director, Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has again assured that the governorship candidate of the party, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, is passionate about the overall development of the three senatorial districts in his quest to advance Delta’s socioeconomic fortunes through his M.O.R.E. agenda.

He gave the assurance while speaking as a guest of DBS Radio public affairs programme “Tori for the week” on Saturday 14th January, saying that the M.O.R.E manifesto reflects Oborevwori’s vision for the state, which is to keep Delta State ahead in all aspects of social and economic wellbeing.

The campaign spokesperson further asserted that the incoming governor’s mission is to run an open, responsive government that meets the needs and aspirations of Deltans through infrastructure development, growth in human capital and improved social harmony.

Oghenesivbe explained that both the vision and mission statements of Delta PDP governorship candidate, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, clearly enables the good people of Delta State and all eligible voters to know his administration’s focus, as well as the expected results in terms of dividends of democracy and policy direction as encapsulated in the MO.R.E social contract, Which is to facilitate; Meaningful Development, provide opportunity for all Deltans, introduce realistic reforms and enhanced peace and security in the state.

He disclosed that under Meaning Development, Oborevwori administration will focus on economic development, infrastructure development, human capital development and environmental sustainability, while equity and fairness, inclusiveness, engagement with stakeholders will be achieved under Opportunity for All Deltans.

“Our governorship candidate’s Realistic reforms connotes financial reforms, accelerated industrialization and MSMEs, sustainable agricultural sector reforms, investment sector reforms and public service delivery while enhanced peace and security implementation will ensure effective and efficient community policing, engagement of youths in productive and gainful employment, collaboration among security agencies in the maintenance of law and order and to sustain a robust engagement with traditional institutions.”

“It’s crystal clear from his vision, mission statement and the MO.R.E agenda cum social contract with Deltans that our excessive local content incoming governor, Oborevwori, is fully prepared for the job, whereas the governorship candidates of other political parties have no written manifesto, no mission statement and no vision, and as such Deltans cannot hold them accountable for anything. They are in the race to have fun and nothing more.”

“And there is no gainsaying the fact that Oborevwori is more competent, more experienced and more accessible to the people judging from his excellent track records as the longest serving Speaker since the creation of Delta State. His private residence in Osubi has become a political Mecca. He’s loved by all well-meaning Deltans.”

“Oborevwori’s philanthropic gestures and humility remained unmatched. He is a man of few words, endowed with uncommon wisdom, good health and God’s divine grace to serve and have been serving the state and people in various capacity since 1999 and counting.”

“And when you take a critical look at the other candidates, you will find out for yourself that they are in the governorship race to fulfil all righteousness, not to win, which is why the likes of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the failed All Progressives Congress, APC and Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi of the fractured Social Democratic Party, SDP are deeply involved in campaign of character assassination, not campaign based on issues. Their selfish and self centered governorship ambition is obvious and they shall surely kiss the dust at the polls.

“It’s truism that the governorship candidate of Delta APC, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is sinking politically. He must surely suffer the consequences of betraying his mentor and political benefactor, Chief Great Ogboru. He used the general and back-stabbed him politically, a type of Marcus Brutus in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar.”

“As for victory, PDP and her candidates shall win with a wide margin on the 25th day of February and on the 11th day of March presidential and governorship elections, respectively.

“The Mammoth crowd recorded during our Ward to Ward and LGA to LGA campaigns attests to the fact that Deltans and indeed Nigerians are tired of the bad governance of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which deliberately imposed acute hunger, poverty, insecurity, hyper inflation and chronic debts on our country and people,” Oghenesivbe said.
