2023: Why Nigerian Women Must Support Gov Bello For President – Women Leader, Aishat Ekele

Nigerian women folks have been identified as the most supportive partners in progress considering their roles in society and competing favourably with their males counterpart.

The Kogi State Women leader for Governor Yahaya Bello Presidential Campaign Organisation, Hon. Chief Blessing Aishat Ekele, has explained the reason why Nigerians should rally support for Governor Yahaya Bello in his quest to serve this great nation.

The women leader described Bello as the only key that would ensure a paradigm shift of power from the older group to the younger generation.

Hon. Ekele, who is the Vice-Chairman, Olamoboro Local Government Area of Kogi state, stated this when she interacted with Journalists in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital on Thursday.

She, therefore, called on the state delegates and eligible voters among women folks, in particular, and youth members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Nigeria, to cast their votes for Bello during the May 28 and May 29 National Delegates Convention of the party.

Ekele, a governorship aspirant of the party in the last gubernatorial election in Kogi, described the planned convention as a window of opportunity for the delegates to their love and cast their votes for Governor Bello.

She commended Bello for appointing her as the state women leader of his presidential campaign organisation, assuring all party members that she would organization to complement the efforts of the governor and his team, from women angle, “on this historical journey to Aso Rock”. Women’s, who is also the Magajia 1 of the Uke kingdom, thanked Governor Bello for deeming her worthy hy to be appointed to man such a sensitive position and called on the women folks and youths to work assiduously for the governor to pick the party ticket and succeed president Muhammadu Buhari next year.

Ekele reminded delegates, youths and in a particular reference to women in the state, not to forget in a jiffy the recognition Governor Bello’s administration had placed on them in his administration.

“Governor Yahaya Bello has placed a high premium on women and youths in his administration by including them in acts of governance. Something considered taboo in the past.

“Many youths and women were appointed into sensitive positions of trust and they are doing well. Before now, it was considered taboo or impossible, and Inclusiveness in act of governance was not reflected in the previous administrations. “It’s a rare case acts recognition that must be reciprocated.

“We should not take this gesture for granted. We should reciprocate this by reaching out to other youths and women in other states to give him support to realize his ambition of becoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria this month during the APC primary election.

“We should not rest on our oars until Governor Bello gets to Aso Rock for him the o replicate his love for women and youths in Nigeria as his administration has done in Kogi,” she urged.

Hon. Ekele also commended Chief Edward Onoja, the Deputy Governor of the state, Pharm. Jamiu Asuku, the Chief of Staff to the Governor and many others whom she described as the driving force behind the act of Governor Bello’s presidential bid and prayed to God to bless their support and efforts “in this direction”.

While the Women leader promised to make women folks proud by the appointment, she joined women, youths, and party members to ensure that all hands must be on deck, either as delegates or party members, “for Governor Bello to beat the rest of aspirants to the rear and clinch the APC ticket”.

“We can do it. It will work, with our collective determination. It’s possible, Let’s do it for our workaholic leader. He has done his own for us. Let’s do our own for him”, said advised.
