Edo 2024: CAN, Ikpoba-Okha, pays courtesy call on Osayande, pray for success of Ighodalo

…Says AiO², a divine project

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ikpoba-Okha, on Thursday, paid a courtesy call on the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman, Dr. Eric Osayande, the Association, in solidarity with the Local Government Chairman, hailed the Council boss for his excellent performance in office.

“We, are very pleased and happy with your works, your sectoral development and the various reforms you have initiated in the Council are now models for measuring performance in office; CAN will continue to support you and ensure that it keeps you and your team in constant prayers,” CAN Chairman, Ven. Benson noted.

Chairman of the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chapter of CAN, Venerable Tom O. Benson, assured Osayande of the Association’s continuous support considering the human-face administrative approach of the Council Chairman.

“Be rest assured this Association is fully with you; your various gains and works are remarkable and worth emulating; we are also very much impressed with what you are doing in Ikpoba-Okha, reason we decided to visit and identify with you.”

In his response, the Council Chairman urged the Association to continue to keep the Country, State and LGA in their prayers, noting that only prayers and works can save Nigeria.

“I appreciate the Christian Association for this time, and to say that we are hoping that the Christian Association will continue to bridge the gap between God and the people, we are following your activities and I want to say that there is need to intensify our prayers for our people as that is the only key to save this Country.”

In a further remark, Osayande assured that Council will continue to collaborate with Christian bodies across the LGA to discuss ways forward; the Chairman also assured the Association of its support.

The Council Chairman urged the Christian Association to support the AiO² agenda as that is a sure bet to sustaining existential legacies and build more for Edo.

At the visit, the Association resolved to throw its weight behind the AiO² movement, noting that the AiO² combination is a divine project that must be done; the Thursday meeting held at the Chairman’s office, Council Secretariat, Idogbo, with the Secretary to Local Government, Barr. Osagie Igbinomwanhia and Head of Revenue Department, Pst. Josephine Duze in attendance.

Prayers were offered  for the Council Chairman and by the extension, AiO².
