….Reveals more plans for Lafia Central constituency
Kayarda Community, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has called on Hon Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to contest for the seat of Lafia/Obi Federal constituency in 2027 election.
The people has expressed their satisfaction with the quality representation of the lawmaker so far within his last one year in office.
The Village Head of Kayarda Community Chief Uba Muhammed stated this when he led his people to pay a solidarity visit on Hon. Solomon Akwashiki in his office today in Lafia.
Mohammed said that Akwashiki has performed credibly well, hence the need of their call for him to contest for Reps seat come 2027.
He said that the visit was to rejoice, identify and encourage the lawmaker over his purposeful leadership in the last one year in office.
The village said that the visit was also to appreciate the lawmaker for sinking a borehole in their community.
“in the history of this constituency, we have not seen a representative that is working like you, we have never had it so good.
“You are doing well, please keep it up God will continue to be your strength and your effort will not go in vein.
” We are happy with what you are doing and we pray God to give you more strength and good health to perform more,” he said.
The leader of the delegation assured the lawmaker of their loyalty, prayers and support to succeed.
He appealed to the lawmaker for the upgrade of Kayarda Chiefdom to give them a sense of belonging.
In a related development, Agwatashi Unity Forum from Obi Local Government Area of the State, led by its Chairman Mr Bala Musa visited Hon Akwashiki to persuade him to see the need to contest for Lafia/Obi House of Representatives come 2027.
Musa said that the performance of Hon. Akwashiki at the State Assembly is exciting and has revealed his capacity urging him to contest for Reps seat in order to bring more Federal Government presence to the constituency.
He assured the lawmaker of their readiness to mobilise support for him to succeed.
Similarly, TAKAN/ECWA Bloc, Nasarawa State Chapter, led by its Chairman, Mr Moses Sule, has appreciated Hon Akwashiki for keying into people’s oriented projects in his constituency.
Sule who stated this when he led his members on a courtesy visit to the lawmaker assured him of their prayers and support to enable him succeed in his legislative and other responsibilities.
Responding, Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central constituency assured the people of his continued commitment to initiate different policies and programmes that will have direct bearing on their lives.
” I want to appreciate you all for the visit and to assure you of my determination to bring more dividends of democracy to your door steps.
” What I am doing is to improve on your standard of living and for the overall development of our constituency and the state at large,” he said
Hon Akwashiki, the Minority Whip of the 7th Nasarawa Assembly who holds the traditional title of Dan Amana Kayarda pledged continued sound and quality representation at the state legislature.
” I will continue touching lives positively, I have a lot of plans for my people and I believe my one year in office has been eventful, I will continue to strive to achieve more” He said.
He solicited for the support and prayers from all and sundry to enable him succeed nothing that when the time comes he will respond to their calls regarding House of Reps contest.
Hon Akwashiki thanked them for their advices and words of encouragements.
” I want to plead with you to give me more time to answer you regarding your calls on me to contest for Reps seat come 2027.
” I will answer your call at an approximate time because your call is apt and timely,” he said.
The lawmaker also called on the people of his constituency to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
He said that Gov. Sule is doing well in the state and deserve the support of all to succeed.
