She emphasized her commitment to ensuring cleanliness in the state, stating, “If this should be my only legacy as Commissioner for the Environment, I am okay with that.”

During her visit, Dr. Elayo engaged with local business owners, assessing their sanitary practices and reminding them that Karu’s beauty should not be compromised by filth.

She stressed that Governor Abdullahi Sule’s investments in transforming Nasarawa State should be supported by responsible citizenship.

The Commissioner also visited the Nasarawa State Waste Management and Sanitation Authority’s office and the recycling plant in Karu, reaffirming her commitment to revitalizing it.

Dr. Elayo’s initiative aims to address the critical issue of sanitation in the state, particularly in densely populated areas like Karu.
