Keffi LGA Chairman Tasks Journalists on Private Investigation

The Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area, Dr. Ahmad Damagani, has highlighted the crucial role journalists play in nation-building.
He made this statement while hosting members of the Nasarawa West Reporters Forum, led by its Chairman, Mohammed Sani Auwalu, at his office on Tuesday.
Dr. Damagani emphasized that journalists are vital in promoting peaceful coexistence in society and assured that his administration would prioritize journalists at all times.
He tasked the Nasarawa West Reporters Forum to conduct private investigations into his administration’s transformation initiatives aimed at impacting the lives of Keffi citizens.
Despite limited resources, Dr. Damagani noted that his administration has embarked on constructing streets within Keffi town and initiatives in education, health, and agriculture.
He mentioned the acquisition of land along Angwan Mayo Road to improve agricultural practices and called on the people to give him the necessary support to enable him to succeed.
Earlier, Mohammed Sani Auwalu, Chairman of the Nasarawa West Reporters Forum, visited the Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area, Dr. Ahmad Damagani, to congratulate him on his election.
Auwalu appealed to the Chairman to involve journalists in his activities, stating that this would keep the public informed about developments within the local government.
Auwalu also requested a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) or partnership with the reporters’ forum to facilitate coverage of the local government’s transformative initiatives under Dr. Damagani’s leadership.
Dr. Damagani promised to consider the request and table it before his council members to work towards a positive outcome.
