A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Kogi East senatorial aspirant, Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, on Friday flagged off his grassroots consultation in Dekina Local Government Area, where he was received by a large gathering of party stakeholders, supporters, and residents.

The visit forms part of his ongoing tour across the Kogi East Senatorial District aimed at engaging constituents, consolidating support, and strengthening his bid ahead of the party’s primary election.

Erico, a security expert, used the occasion to interact directly with the people, presenting his vision for effective representation and inclusive governance.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, he said his ambition was borne out of a deep commitment to uplift the living standards of the people and ensure that the voices of the district are adequately represented at the National Assembly.

He emphasised the need for responsive leadership that prioritises the welfare of the masses, particularly the vulnerable and underserved communities across the district.

The senatorial hopeful also used the platform to rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, urging residents to remain steadfast in their backing of both leaders.

According to him, the current administrations at the federal and state levels are laying a solid foundation for sustainable development and have continued to deliver policies and programmes that are positively impacting the lives of citizens.

Erico expressed gratitude to the people of Dekina for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage, describing the turnout as a strong indication of growing support for his aspiration.

He assured the people that if elected, he would provide inclusive, people-oriented representation that reflects the yearnings and aspirations of Kogi East constituents.
