Wadada’s 2027 Governorship Bid Gains Momentum as NSHA, ALGON Declare Support

The 2027 governorship ambition of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has received a major boost following a wave of endorsements from key stakeholders, including the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA) and the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON.
The endorsements were announced during a grand homecoming reception organised by the senator’s political associates at Keffi Stadium on Thursday.
The event attracted a large turnout of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across Nasarawa State.
The massive crowd led to heavy traffic congestion in parts of Keffi, as vehicles and motorcycles struggled to move through the busy streets.
Addressing the gathering, the Speaker of the NSHA, Danladi Jatau, who led lawmakers to the event, described Wadada as the preferred choice of Governor Abdullahi Sule for the 2027 governorship race, affirming the Assembly’s support for his candidacy.
In a similar vein, chairmen of the 13 local government areas in the state, under the leadership of Safiyanu Isa Andaha, declared Wadada the most credible aspirant among contenders.
They pledged the backing of local government officials, administrators, and staff across the state for his emergence as the next governor.
Responding, Senator Wadada expressed gratitude for the overwhelming show of support, noting that during prior consultations with aspirants and Governor Sule, there was a consensus to support whoever the governor endorsed as successor.
He commended fellow aspirants who have remained committed to that agreement and assured party members of his readiness to justify the confidence reposed in him, promising to work diligently if given the mandate.
